Working with the T-SKIDDER
The T-SKIDDER is a GPS guided autonomous carrier supported by traction winch (T-Winch) for extraction of full tree in steep slopes.
The carriage is designed as articulated 8x8 vehicle with short wheelbase for good manoeuvrability, good ground clearance as well as low centre of gravity for maximum stability.
The pivoted attachment point is mounted on the rear frame and allows free steering without following the pulling cable of the T-winch, even cross the slope.
The T-SKIDDER drives independently from the loading location to the landing site using a GPS signal.
Due to the perfect directional stability, obstacles on the way are avoided.
The route is recorded the first time it is driven on by radio control, in order to avoid obstacles, wet spots etc. The T-SKIDDER now always follows this route, but it can also be remotely shifted, adjusted or changed.
These unique features proof best practices in steep terrain. Above that it´s a safe working method no manual logging as well as less people in the field.
